Embroidery for beginners + all levels. Learn how to embroider a basic, simple Backstitch to embellish a piece of your own clothing. We’ll begin by practicing the Backstitch in a sample book. This book is yours to keep.

You’ll choose a fabric from my collection (or bring your own) that will go behind your garment. Trace an easy shape (like a star, heart, initial or flower) onto your garment and stitch the outline with a Backstitch. Then we’ll cut away the top fabric, revealing the reverse appliqué. Note, you may need to complete your finished piece at home or at an open studio session.

You bring: your woven piece or fabric bag, jeans, sweatshirt - whatever you want to embellish and a fabric to appliqué, if you wish.

$50 includes: embroidery hoop, needle, floss, sample stitch book, appliqué fabrics.
